Overview

This well-paced tour is perfect for those who’re looking to see the natural beauty of Kyoto. After meeting at the designated pick-up point, you will head to Arashiyama, located in the western district of the ancient capital. Here, stroll around the area and soak in the scenic sights and water vistas dotting the area (look out for the iconic Togetsukyo Bridge and monkey park here if there’s time). If you have added on the kimono rental experience, you will be brought to the store to get changed before you start exploring Arashiyama!

Next, indulge in a hearty lunch buffet/chicken teriyaki meal (if you opt for plan A/B) before taking a ride on Kyoto’s oldest (and only) sightseeing tram, the Randen, to get to Nara Park. The perfectly scenic tram ride will see you through views of iconic Kyoto temple landmarks like Ryoanji, Kinkakuji and Ninnaji, too. Lastly, Nara Park is where you’ll get to interact with the lovely sika deers sauntering around the picturesque grounds.

Additional Information:

  • Free of charge for children age 2 and below (no seats and meals). If you require a seal and meal, please purchase the child ticket
  • Please note that the randen ride from Arashiyama to Shijo-Omiya will not be accompanied by the tour conductor. The staff will take you to Shijo-Omiya station to board the bus
  • Should the date/time chosen be unavailable, the next best available date/time will be suggested/provided to customer
  • Vegetarian meal option is available for Plan S, if you wish to change the meal option, please contact us at least 5 working days before the tour departure date
  • Hala Meal option is available for Plan A, if you wish to hange the meal option, please contact us at least 5 working days before the tour departure date
  • Please be at the meeting point at least 10 minutes before the departure time
  • The bus will leave according to schdedule and will not wait for latecomers
  • The tour ends at Namba OCAT. There is no drop off in Umeda

  • Pick-up and drop-off time varies on weather and traffic conditions

  • There will be a tour conductor with a “LIMON” sign at the meeting point.

  • Kimono Rental of your choice  + Hair Set (Women only) *In summer, Yukata will be provided

    • Arrive at shop
    • Choose Kimono and sandals (Women/Men/Child size available) *Child size is from 110cm
    • Japanese style dressing
    • Simple hair set (includes hair accessories – women only)
    • Makeover done (clothes can be kept at the studio)
    • Join tour wearing a Kimono
    • Return to shop to change

Important Notes:

  • Should the date/time chosen be unavailable, the next best available date/time will be suggested/provided to customer.
  • The boarding point cannot be changed on the day of departure.
  • There will be no refunds even if included items are not utilised by the visitor.
  • Tours and tickets are subjected to availability and are not confirmed until a second confirmation email is received. In the event if the date selected is not available, alternative arrangements will be communicated via email.
  • Booking is required to be made 7 working days before the tour departure date.

 

About the tour:

  • Items not included are personal expenses during the tour (telephone, laundry, beverages etc.)
  • Travel Recommends and the tour operator will not be responsible for any accidents, loss of property or damaged caused by individual’s negligence.
  • The e-ticket cannot be exchanged for cash or used on more than one occasion.
  • The value of the e-ticket/e-voucher is in local currency.
  • Any alteration(s) on the e-ticket/e-voucher will not be accepted by Travel Recommends and the appointed merchant.
  • Tour routes and schedule may be delayed/cancelled/changed without prior notice.
  • Tour prices vary on seasons and weekdays/weekends, Travel Recommends reserves the right to change prices without prior notice. In the event that changes are made, the revised figures will be posted on the website.

  • Travel Recommends reserves the right to adjust the prices based on current exchange rates without prior notice. 

 

Cancellation Policy:

Tour routes subject to cancellation without prior notice due to weather conditions, and (or) when there is an official request from the authorities. Full refund will be given to customers under these circumstances.

80% refunds will be given to customers for cancellation made at least 7 working days prior the tour date.

Partial refunds will be given to customers for cancellation made the day before.

No refunds will be entertained for cancellation made the day of tour.

Please e-mail any changes to the tour dates and number of visitors to us at least 14 calendar days before the tour date. A fee will incur accordingly on the changes after the stipulated date.
