This high-altitude tour will leave you on a high as you marvel at the spectacular Hehuan Mountain and the scenic surroundings.
Set aside half a day to admire the 3,416m Hehuan Mountain that even glistens from afar thanks to the seasonal snowfall. Go up the peak of Nantou county, home to Taiwan’s prime tea plantations. As your journey winds and bends around the steep mountain roads, take a short break at Wuling. But even this pitstop is a must-visit: At a staggering 3,275m above sea level, Wuling is the highest road point in all of Taiwan! Rounding off the tour is the notable Song Syue Lodge, which once the residence of former Taiwan president, Chiang Kai-shek. Now a hotel, the lodge is especially popular among seasoned hikers and nature lovers for its proximity to the trails of Hehuanshan. Soak in the views and snap some memorable shots (keepsakes!) before your tour concludes in Cingjing.
