Overview
Savour the tropical delights of Vietnam’s south, from the noise and excitement of Saigon to the gentle world of palm groves, rice paddies and fruit orchards found in the lush Mekong Delta, the extensive mangrove forest, Can Gio, all will be included in this 5day 4night tour. Day 1: Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City
- Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam! Upon arrival to Tan Son Nhat Airport, your driver and guide will meet you and they will transfer you to your hotel in the downtown. Check-in and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels
- Head out in the early morning to nearby Cu Chi tunnels. Cu Chi is the name of the district that is famous with the extensive network of underground tunnels (Appro. 250km), dug by Viet Minh and later expanded by the Viet Cong, used by both fighters and villagers during 'Vietnam War'. A part of the tunnels has been widened to allow visitors to enter and get a feel of what the life underground must have been like (please note that this will be hot and sweaty, and claustrophobic for some).
- After lunch at a local restaurant, you will return to the city for an afternoon city tour. Pay a visit to the Re-unification Palace and some of the other major sights such as the Old Saigon Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral.
- Move on to Cho Lon or the city’s China Town where you will stop off at the Thien Hau temple. The Thien Hau temple was built in the early 19th Century dedicated to Thien Hau, the goddess of seafarers.
- A short stop will be made at Ben Thanh Market to buy fruits, souvenir if you want before transfer back to hotel.

Day 3: Can Gio Day Tour
- 8am: Our tour guide and driver will meet you at hotel and transfer you to Can Gio.
- 8:30am: Arrive at DanXay bridge: take boat or canoe to visit the VamSat Eco–Tourist zone; winning over the TangBong tower with 25m height to view all the landscape of CanGio mangrove forest. Swim in the Dead-Sea; Fishing crocodile cruise.
- 12:15pm: Have Lunch at Carrot Restaurant
- 2pm: Arrive at Forest Park (Monkey island)
- Visit Can Gio Museum
- Visit Mangrove Forest Park Fauna Conservation: Saltwater crocodiles, wild cats, otters, pythons, deers and more than 1000 wild monkeys, which love to play with people.
- 4:30pm: Return to Ho Chi Minh City.

Monkey Island in Can Gio
Day 4: Mekong Delta Excursion
- Depart at 8am from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City to Mekong Delta. After about 2.5 hours, you will arrive at Ben Tre province, the heart of the Mekong Delta, popularly known as the “rice bowl” of Vietnam, and is famous for its vast rice fields, numerous waterways and beautiful landscapes.
- Upon arrival, you will embark on a motorized boat trip around the scenic Ham Luong River (a branch of the Mekong) and stop off at various local workplaces to give you a picture of how the local economy works, including a brickworks, where bricks are still painstakingly made by hand; a coconut processing workshop, where you can sample fresh coconut and see how every single part of this versatile nut is turned into food and other products; and a mat weaving house, where straw mats are woven using a hand loom – you can even have a go at weaving yourself!
- The boat will then stop at a quiet village where you can have a short walk to experience real Delta village life, before boarding your xe loi (a kind of motorized rickshaw) and traveling into the village where you can visit fruit orchards before stopping at a riverside restaurant for a delicious and filling lunch, featuring such local specialties as elephant-ear fish and river shrimp, washed down with some cold drinks or beers.
- It’s time to board a sampan for a relaxing trip along narrow creeks. Folowed by another motorized boat ride back to Pier where your private car awaits. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City and finish the day at your hotel.

Day 5: Departure from Ho Chi Minh City
- Last day of the trip in Ho Chi Minh City. You are free at leisure or go to do some last shopping before getting picked up and take the private transfer to the airport for your departure flight. End of service.

Important Notes:
- Tours and tickets are subjected to availability and are not confirmed until a second confirmation email is received. In the event if the date selected is not available, alternative arrangements will be communicated via email.
- The tour may disembark at a different location from the initial meeting point. For disembarkation, please enquire with the tour guide on the day of tour.
- There will be no refunds even if included items are not utilized by the visitor.
- In circumstances that the tour is cancelled due to bad weather conditions, customers will be notified by the tour operator
- In the event of late comers/no shows, it would be considered cancellation and no refund will be given.
About the Tour:
- Items not included are personal expenses during the tour.
- Travel Recommends and the tour operator will not be responsible for any accidents, loss of property or damaged caused by individual negligence.
- The e-ticket cannot be exchanged for cash or used on more than one occasion. Any alteration(s) on the e-ticket will not be accepted by Travel Recommends and the appointed merchant.
- The value of the e-ticket/e-voucher is in local currency.
- Tour routes and schedule may be delayed/cancelled/changed without prior notice.
- Tour prices vary on seasons and weekdays/weekends. Travel Recommends reserves the right to change prices without prior notice. In the event where changes are made, the revised figures will be posted on the website.
- Travel Recommends reserves the right to adjust the prices based on current exchange rates without prior notice.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
1.1 Cancellation by the traveler
If you cancel some or all portions of your booking, cancellation fees will be applied. The effective date of cancellation will be the date the Company receives written notification. The cancellation charge to the clients is described as follows:
• More than 45 days before arrival: No cancellation charge.
• 15 - 45 days prior to departure: 30% of the Tour price is forfeited
• 14 - 08 days prior to departure: 50% of the Tour price is forfeited
• Less than 07 days prior to departure: 100 % of the Tour price is forfeited
For the avoidance of doubt, because there are some suppliers (airlines, hotels, and cruise companies) have cancellation policies that are different from those of the tour operator, the cancellation charge may, at our discretion, be adjusted accordingly.
1.2 Cancellation by the tour operator
We may cancel a trip at any time prior to departure if, due to terrorism, natural disasters, political instability or other external events it is not viable for us to operate the planned trip. If we cancel your trip, you can transfer the amounts paid to an alternate departure date or alternatively receive a full refund (not included the bank transfer fee or any third party’s service charge). In circumstances where the cancellation is due to external events outside our reasonable control, refunds will be less any unrecoverable costs. We are not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking including but not limited to visas, vaccinations, and travel insurance excess or non-refundable flights.
(*) For this particular clause, you are advised to have the mentioned cases covered by your own travel insurance.
