If you are spending a day in Osaka during autumn, it is a must to see the falling red leaves while being surrounded by nature! This day trip takes you on a natural journey to Biwako Valley and Keisoku-ji Temple to witness the beauty of autumn in the Shiga Prefecture.
At Biwako Valley, you will the chance to ride the ropeway and get a bird’s eye view of the valley in autumn colours. Marvel at the sweeping panoramic view of Lake Biwa from the Biwako Terrace once you reach the top.
On the way to lunch, keep your eyes peeled as you drive past the Metasequoia Avenue. Be mesmerised by the perfectly lined trees and the falling red leaves, which makes for a magnificent sight! For lunch, you’ll get to dig into an enticing buffet lunch of BBQ meat and sushi, to replenish your energy for the rest of the day! Eat your fill and prepare yourself for more adventure!
Keisoku-ji Temple has long been abandoned, but its red carpet of maple leaves warmly welcome your visit the moment you step foot into the temple grounds. Taken care of by locals, Keisoku-ji Temple is one of the most important cultural assets in Shiga Prefecture. Boasting 200 maple trees that shower red leaves onto the stairway, it is certainly a sight to behold as you approach the temple!
With that, the tour comes to and end back in Osaka. If you have a love for nature and breath-taking sights, don’t hesitate and let us whisk you to Shiga Prefecture for a beautiful day!
