Overview

Known as one of Myanmar's most spiritual experiences, The Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda stands at a height of 7.3 meters is built on a gold-glided boulder. With 25 meters in circumference, it is balanced in a very precarious position on a tabular rock jutting out from ridge in the Eastern Yoma Mountains.

Upon arrival at Kim pun base camp, board an open truck as you will travel on a steep but well-paved road which led to the upper Staging point to the renowned Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda site 1180m above sea level. 

In the late afternoon, you would travel back to Kim pun camp with the truck where your hotel drop off is waiting for you to transfer back to your Yangon Hotel.

  • Tours and tickets are subjected to availability and are not confirmed until a second confirmation email is received. In the event if the date selected is not available, alternative arrangements will be communicated via email.

  • Please be at the hotel five minutes before the agreed pick-up time.

  • Items not included are personal expenses during the tour (telephone, laundry, beverages etc.).

  • Travel Recommends and the tour operator will not be responsible for any accidents, loss of property or damaged caused by individual’s negligence.

  • The e-ticket cannot be exchanged for cash or used on more than one occasion.

  • The value of the e-ticket is in local currency.

  • Any alteration(s) on the e-ticket will not be accepted by Travel Recommends and the appointed merchant.

  • Tour routes and schedule subject to changes/cancellation without prior notice due to weather conditions, and (or) any unforeseen circumstances that arise. 
     
  • Travel Recommends reserves the right to adjust the prices based on current exchange rates without prior notice

Cancellation Policy:

100% refund will be given to customers for cancellation made at least 12 working days prior the tour date. 
50% refund will be given to customers for cancellation made at least 7 working days prior the tour date.
No refunds will be entertained for cancellation made less than 7 working days from the tour date.


For amendments, please e-mail any changes to us at least 7 working days before the tour date. Amendment fee will incur accordingly on the changes after the stipulated date.
