Overview
Visiting Vietnam, you could not miss the trip to Hanoi capital and Halong Bay - Unesco Heritage Site. This 5-day trip will bring you wonderful experience about local sites, food and especially scenery of Halong Bay where retains much of the otherworldly magic conjured up by 1969 jungle-clad islands and islets rising from deep emerald waters. An overnight cruise on the bay is really relaxing and attractive.
Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi
- Welcome to Vietnam! Upon arrival to Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi, the driver and guide will meet you and they will transfer you to your hotel in the downtown. Check-in and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi

Day 2: City Tour of Hanoi – Street Food Tour
- In the morning you are picked up at your hotel at 8:00 AM and transfer to Ba Dinh Square where you will visit to the mausoleum of the historic figure and father of modern Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh (View from outside on Fri & Mon) and the former president’s stilt house where he lived from 1958 to 1969, his former home illustrates the modesty of the Vietnamese revolution. The One Pillar Pagoda, founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049 will be visited next: This structure is one of Vietnam’s most iconic temples. Continue on with the Temple of Literature: In 1076 Quoc Tu Giam - Vietnam's first university, also referred to as Van Mieu, was established within a temple to educate Vietnam's royalty, mandarins and members of the elite. The university functioned for an incredible 700 years and its gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a fascinating glimpse into Vietnam’s past.
- A Vietnamese lunch will be served at a restaurant in the city.
- In the afternoon, visit the fascinating Ethnology Museum, which is both a research center and a public museum exhibiting the ethnic groups of Vietnam.
- At the end of the afternoon visit Ngoc Son Taoist Temple, located on a little island of Hoan Kiem Lake and listen to a beautiful legend of this central Lake and learn about the rare species of tortoise which lived there.
- Finish the day with a walking street food tour around Hanoi’s Old Quarter, which is also known as the ‘36 streets’. This bustling area of narrow streets and alleys is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. It's a great place to explore with plenty of photo opportunities all around you. During the walk, you have chance to taste variety of Hanoi traditional food on streets.
- At the end of the food tour, you can enjoy a Vietnamese coffee or a glass of local fresh beer.

Day 3: Hanoi – Ha Long Bay
- Leave Hanoi and drive to the well-known Halong Bay. You can leave your heavy cases behind at your hotel in Hanoi and pack an overnight backpack for staying on the boat. Halong Bay is one of Vietnam's most spectacular natural wonders and listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO.
- Upon arrival at the pier, you will board a boat for exploring the bay, the views that you get while navigating past thousands of limestone islands with rocky outcrops are incredible.
- Lunch and dinner are served on board. The activities include a swim in the bay if weather allows. You may have chance to do some kayaking.
- Dinner and spend the night on boat.

Ha Long Bay
Day 4: Ha Long Bay – Hanoi
- Get up early in the morning for fresh-air on the open deck and join the Tai-chi class for some gentle moves if you wish. Otherwise, you are able to remain in your cabin until breakfast time. After that, the crew will pull up the anchor, start the engine again for more cruising to other part of the bay.
- After visiting a big limestone cave, the boat is gently heading back to the pier. The early lunch (Brunch) will be served aboard. Around noon, you are ferried in and take the return drive to Hanoi. Check back into your hotel and the rest of the day is yours.

Day 5: Departure from Hanoi
- On your last day of the trip, you are free at leisure or go out for some last shopping (if time permits) until getting picked up and take the private transfer to the ariport for your departure flight. End of service.

Important Notes:
- Tours and tickets are subjected to availability and are not confirmed until a second confirmation email is received. In the event if the date selected is not available, alternative arrangements will be communicated via email.
- The tour may disembark at a different location from the initial meeting point. For disembarkation, please enquire with the tour guide on the day of tour.
- There will be no refunds even if included items are not utilised by the visitor.
- In circumstances that the tour is cancelled due to bad weather conditions, customers will be notified by the tour operator
- In the event of late comers/no shows, it would be considered cancellation and no refund will be given.
About the Tour:
- Items not included are personal expenses during the tour.
- Travel Recommends and the tour operator will not be responsible for any accidents, loss of property or damaged caused by individual negligence.
- The e-ticket cannot be exchanged for cash or used on more than one occasion. Any alteration(s) on the e-ticket will not be accepted by Travel Recommends and the appointed merchant.
- The value of the e-ticket/e-voucher is in local currency.
- Tour routes and schedule may be delayed/cancelled/changed without prior notice.
- Tour prices vary on seasons and weekdays/weekends. Travel Recommends reserves the right to change prices without prior notice. In the event where changes are made, the revised figures will be posted on the website.
- Travel Recommends reserves the right to adjust the prices based on current exchange rates without prior notice.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
1.1 Cancellation by the traveler
(+) If you cancel some or all portions of your booking, cancellation fees will be applied. The effective date of cancellation will be the date the Company receives written notification. The cancellation charge to the clients is described as follows:
• More than 45 days before arrival: No cancellation charge.
• 15 - 45 days prior to departure: 30% of the Tour price is forfeited
• 14 - 08 days prior to departure: 50% of the Tour price is forfeited
• Less than 07 days prior to departure: 100 % of the Tour price is forfeited
For the avoidance of doubt, because there are some suppliers (airlines, hotels, and cruise companies) have cancellation policies that are different from those of the tour operator, the cancellation charge may, at our discretion, be adjusted accordingly.
1.2 Cancellation by the tour operator
We may cancel a trip at any time prior to departure if, due to terrorism, natural disasters, political instability or other external events it is not viable for us to operate the planned trip. If we cancel your trip, you can transfer the amounts paid to an alternate departure date or alternatively receive a full refund (not included the bank transfer fee or any third party’s service charge). In circumstances where the cancellation is due to external events outside our reasonable control, refunds will be less any unrecoverable costs. We are not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking including but not limited to visas, vaccinations, and travel insurance excess or non-refundable flights.
(*) For this particular clause, you are advised to have the mentioned cases covered by your own travel insurance.
