Overview

Bat Trang was known as a famous ceramic producing village formed in 14th century. The village is located near the Red River which is close to Hanoi city. Bat Trang became the center of ceramic making because of the rich deposition of white clay. Whether you're browsing as an amateur art lover or a researching as an art historian, this tour will give you a comprehensive overview of 700 years of Vietnamese ceramic masterpieces.

• 07:40am – 08:30am: Pick up from Hanoi hotel and start your journey to discover Hanoi’s culture and history.
  • Start the trip with Tran Quoc pagoda, a Buddhist relic and national heritage lying on the West Lake.
  • Visit Ho Chi Minh complex, the final resting place of Viet Nam’s greatest father; his house-on-stilt and One pillar pagoda – modeled after a lotus flower, a symbol of Hanoi.
  • Visit Temple of Literature constructed in 1070 dedicating to Confucius, sages and scholars. It was also the first university of Viet Nam once.
• 12:30pm: Relax and have lunch at a local restaurant in Hanoi Old Quarter.
  • Explore daily life of traditional ceramics village of Bat Trang. Visit showrooms and see how they model the products.
  • Arrive at legendary Hoan Kiem lake. Visit Ngoc Son Temple dedicated to Tran Hung Dao - General Commander for his struggle against Mongolians.
• 4pm: End the tour and return to your hotel.

How To Buy

• Select the preferred date and purchase online
• Email us your name, hotel information, contact number, hotel pick-up and drop-off location with the number of people
• Receive a separate email including the e-ticket
• Print and present the ticket to the tour guide for verification

• Re-confirmation will be emailed to you within 2 working days. If you do not receive the confirmation email, kindly contact us
• Please be at the hotel entrance five minutes before the agreed pick-up time.
• The tour reserves the right to use other high-quality wineries and gourmet location in the event that regular locations are unable to accommodate the group for tastings.
• Items not included are personal expenses during the tour (dinner, telephone, laundry, beverages etc.)
• Travel Recommends and the tour operator will not be responsible for any accidents, loss of property or damage caused by individual’s negligence.
• The e-ticket cannot be exchanged for cash or used on more than one occasion.
• The value of the e-ticket/e-voucher is in local currency.
• Any alteration(s) on the e-ticket/e-voucher will not be accepted by Travel Recommends and the appointed merchant.
• Tour routes and schedule may be delayed/cancelled/changed without prior notice.
• Tour routes may be subject to cancellation without prior notice due to weather conditions, and (or) any unforeseen circumstances that arise. Full refund will be given to customers under these circumstances.
• No refunds will be entertained for cancellations made within 2 working days from the tour date.
• 100% refund will be given to customers for cancellations made at least 3 working days prior the tour date.
• Travel Recommends reserves the right to adjust the prices based on current exchange rates without prior notice.
