Delve into the rich Japanese history and culture in this full day tour that takes you to three of the most venerated spots in Kyoto. First stop: Fushimi Inari Shrine - you know it as its iconic vermillion Torii gates at the entrance of the sacred Shinto shrine. Here, spot numerous fox statues (they represent messengers of Shinto god of rice) as you stroll around the tranquil area. Next, head over to Kiyomizu-dera Temple and check out its main highlight: the majestic, massive construction of a 400-year-old, 13m-high verandah without use of any nails. Here, you can also sip on Otowa Waterfall’s blessed waters which is said to possess healing powers and good fortune. Then you will visit Kinkaku-ji Temple, which boasts regal splendour with its gold-clad glistening roofs. This Zen spot, also known as the Golden Pavilion, houses a charming teahouse and dazzles over the waters of its mirroring pond, Kyokochi. Afterwards, you will head to Arashiyama, the famous bamboo grooves forest, where you can take in the beautiful scenery!
