Overview

First, head to one of the town’s most vibrant markets and have a glimpse of what the locals trade. Thereafter, marvel at a series of revered pagodas and temples before you break for a hearty authentic lunch at a local restaurant.

 

The first temple in the itinerary is the Shwezigon Pagoda, which was built in the early 11th century as a holy shrine by King Anawrahta. Following that, you will visit Ku Byauk Gyi to see some of the most well-preserved paintings portraying illustrations of the Jataka scenes. Subsequently, head to Bu Lei Thee Pagoda which offers you a phenomenal 360 degree view of the surrounding landscape. Finally, check out Ananda Temple where four magnificent Buddha statues stand.

 

After a scrumptious meal, visit a lacquer ware craftsmen's workshop situated in close proximity to Myinkaba Village, where you will be able to source for some of Myanmar’s most intricate handicrafts. Next, continue on your journey towards Manuha and Nanbaya Temple. The former was constructed in 1059 while the latter, a unique sandstone landmark, was said to have been King Manuha’s palace.

 

Mark the end of the tour at Shwe San Daw by watching the Sun melt into the horizon, against the backdrop of the renowned Ayeyarwaddy River.

  • Travel Recommends and the tour operator will not be responsible for any accidents, loss of property or damaged caused by individual’s negligence.

  • The e-ticket cannot be exchanged for cash or used on more than one occasion.

  • The value of the e-ticket is in local currency.

  • Any alteration(s) on the e-ticket will not be accepted by Travel Recommends and the appointed merchant.

  • Tour routes and schedule subject to changes/cancellation without prior notice due to weather conditions, and (or) any unforeseen circumstances that arise.

Tours and tickets are subjected to availability and are not confirmed until a second confirmation email is received. In the event if the date selected is not available, alternative arrangements will be communicated via email.

 

 

 

Cancellation Policy:

100% refund will be given to customers for cancellation made at least 12 working days prior the tour date. 
50% refund will be given to customers for cancellation made at least 7 working days prior the tour date.
No refunds will be entertained for cancellation made less than 7 working days from the tour date.


For amendments, please e-mail any changes to us at least 7 working days before the tour date. Amendment fee will incur accordingly on the changes after the stipulated date.
