Overview

More than a tour of Highgate Cemetery, this tour is a treat for history buffs who want to experience first-hand what life was like in London's Victorian age! Travel back in time to one of England's most fascinating periods, full of social and technological change.

Come learn the truth about life (and death) in Victorian London from slums to churches, to gruesome graveyards and grave robbers.

Soak up the architecture in King's Cross Station and learn how it changed transport in England during the Industrial Revolution.

At the Renaissance Hotel, witness where rich Londoners would come to flash their cash. Gain insights on the rigid British class system and economic inequality that saw posh hotels side by side with squalor, poor sanitation, overcrowding, and rampant crime. It's a bit different today, check out the trendy shops and pubs!

Feel the goosebumps at a burial ground for murderers, suicide victims, and criminals at St Pancras Old Church. Then, hop on the tube for some fun facts about this famous Victorian invention. Was it even more uncomfortable to ride when it was all made from wood and lit by gas lamps?

At Highgate Cemetery, educate yourself with facts and legends surrounding the Victorian personalities including Karl Marx, Douglas Adams, and Christina Rossetti. You will have special access to the parts you can't visit without a guide. Back at King's Cross, pick your guide's brains on where to have dinner. It will be nice to know you don't have to eat by a gas lamp!
