Overview

Option 1: Ho Chi Minh City – My Tho – Ben Tre

• 8:30am: Pick you up at the hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and proceed to My Tho city.
• Arrive in My Tho, board the motorboat at a pier and cruise on Mekong River.
• Overlook floating houses where fish are farmed beneath the house.
• Continue the journey on the river and reach Con Thoi Son (Unicorn Island). From here, we will take a horse cart to reach a performance site of Vietnamese traditional music (Dan ca tai tu) – a folk art from Southern Vietnam accredited by UNESCO in 2013 as Intangible Culture Heritage of Humanity.
• Experience a ride on a small hand-rowing boat – the main transportation means on Rivers in My Tho and Ben Tre. Slowly cruise through a small creek with beautiful overhanging coconut trees.
• Drop by a bee farm and enjoy honey tea and a typical Mekong house.
• Lunch time
• After lunch, board the motorboat and head to learn coconut candies making process from a workshop.
• 3pm: Return to bus and go back to Ho Chi Minh City. Tour ends. 

Option 2: Ho Chi Minh City – Cai Be – Vinh Long

• 8am: Depart from Ho Chi Minh
• 10am: Arrive at Cai Be pier and start boarding the Mekong Queen cruise.
• 10:15am: Sightsee Cai Be floating market
• 10:30am: Disembark and walk to visit the crafting factory
• 11:15am: Board the cruise and onto Lady Five canal or Bay Buoi canal
• 11:30am: Take a 30-minute sampan ride
• 12pm: Board the cruise and head towards the village
• 12:15pm: Lunch at a local family
• 1:45pm: Cruise upstream the Mekong River (also called as Nine Dragon River) towards Vinh Long town.
• 2:45pm: Visit a local fruit garden of Mr. Tam Ho
• 3:15pm: Visit a local brick factory
• 3:30pm: Cruise to Vinh Long Pier
• 3:45pm: Disembark and bid farewell to the Vinh Long and go back to Ho Chi Minh
• 6pm: Arrive in Ho Chi Minh. Tour ends.

Option 3: Ho Chi Minh – Cai Be – Sa Dec

• 9am: Arrive at Cai Be pier and start boarding Mekong Queen Cruise
• 9:15am: Sightsee Cai Be floating market
• 9:25am: Disembark and visit local craft factory
• 10:10am: Board the cruise and head upstream towards Sa Dec Town
• 12:45pm: Stop en route to visit a local brick factory
• 1:15pm: Continue your cruise to the famous ancient house of Huynh Thuy Le, the main male character in “L’amant” of Marguerite Duras
• 1:30pm: Disembark at Sa Dec central market and walk to the ancient house
• 1:45pm: Enjoy lunch
• 2:45pm: Ride a bicycle to visit a local flower growing village
• 3:30pm: Say goodbye to the boat crew and drive back to Ho Chi Minh.
• 7pm: Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City. Tour ends.

Option 4: Unique Mekong

• 8am: Depart from Ho Chi Minh
• 10am: Arrive at Cai Be pier and start boarding the Mekong Queen Cruise
• 10:30am: Take a 30-minute sampan ride along the small canal
• 11am: Go to Tan Phong Island
• 11:15am: Start a leisure 45 minute cycling trip to visit the local handicraft making families.
• 12:15pm: Take a boat trip around Dong Hoa Hiep Island and Cai Be floating market
• 1:15pm: Enjoy lunch at an ancient house
• 2:30pm: Drive back to Ho Chi Minh
• 5:00pm: Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City. Tour ends.

How to Buy:

• Select the preferred date and purchase online
• Kindly e-mail us your name, number of people joining the tour, hotel information, contact number and/or any other requests
• Receive a separate email confirmation within 4 working days
• Present the e-ticket to the tour operator on the day of tour for verification

Important Notes:

• Tours and tickets are subjected to availability and are not confirmed until a second confirmation email is received. In the event if the date selected is not available, alternative arrangements will be communicated via email.
• The tour may disembark at a different location from the initial meeting point. For disembarkation, please enquire with the tour guide on the day of tour.
• There will be no refunds even if included items are not utilised by the visitor.
• In circumstances that the tour is cancelled due to bad weather conditions, customers will be notified by the tour operator
• In the event of late comers/no shows, it would be considered cancellation and no refund will be given.
• Any amendments to the given tour itinerary must be given at least 48 hours before tour departures. Tour operator shall confirm and inform any price changes within 6 working hours.
• Travel Recommends reserves the right to adjust the prices based on current exchange rates without prior notice.

About the Tour:

• Items not included are personal expenses during the tour.
• Travel Recommends and the tour operator will not be responsible for any accidents, loss of property or damaged caused by individual negligence.
• The e-ticket cannot be exchanged for cash or used on more than one occasion. Any alteration(s) on the e-ticket will not be accepted by Travel Recommends and the appointed merchant.
• The value of the e-ticket/e-voucher is in local currency.
• Tour routes and schedule may be delayed/cancelled/changed without prior notice.
• Tour prices vary on seasons and weekdays/weekends. Travel Recommends reserves the right to change prices without prior notice. In the event where changes are made, the revised figures will be posted on the website.
