Overview

Hop on and off the JR line and explore Japan beyond Tokyo! With this package, you’ll be able to reach the beautiful Hitachi Seaside Park in approximately 2 hours.

Hitachi Seaside Park is a spacious park featuring a variety of green spaces and seasonal flowers spread out across 350 hectares. The park's iconic flower is the blue nemophila, which covers Miharashi Hill in the spring. The flowers are usually at their peak from late April to mid May. In fall, the hill is covered by green kokia bushes which slowly turn red as the weather turns cooler. These autumnal colours are usually best from early to mid-October.

Besides the seasonal blooms, paths crisscrossing the hill also provide views over the Pacific Ocean and the rest of the park. Hitachi Seaside Park is perfect for the family with an amusement park and several cycling and walking trails, as well as activities like golfing for all to enjoy.

Additional Information:
  • Admission to Hitachi Seaside Park is free for junior high school students (15 years old) and below
  • Children age 5 and below may travel on the JR for free. However, if your child requires a seat, please purchase the child ticket
  • The JR TOKYO Wide Pass is available for purchase and use only for holders of non-Japanese passports. Always carry your passport when purchasing or using the JR TOKYO Wide Pass for identification purposes.
  • Picking plants and catching animals in the park are prohibited
  • Participants 65 or older should bring a proof of their age for verification purposes
  • Please note that there may be a long waiting time to enter the park when there are many guests 
  • There is a separate fee for rides and attractions other than the seaside train
  • The park operator may change the days and time that the park is open

JR Tokyo Wide Pass
  • The pass is valid for designated or unreserved seats on the ordinary cars of Shinkansen, limited express, express, rapid and local trains in the usage area below:
  • JR East Lines
  • Tokyo Monorail
  • Izu Kyuko Line
  • Fujikyu Railway
  • Joshin Dentetsu Line
  • Saitama New Urban Transit Line (New Shuttle) – between Omiya and the Railway Museum
  • The entire Tokyo Waterfront Area Rapid Transit Rinkai Line
  • The following limited express trains that directly run between the JR East lines and Tobu Railway lines: the Nikko, the SPACIA Nikko, the Kinugawa, and the SPACIA Kinugawa. Also, the local trains (including rapid trains) between Shimo-imaichi and Tobu-nikko/Kinugawa-onsen Stations.
  • Please note that the JR TOKYO Wide Pass is not valid on Tokaido Shinkansens and JR buses
  • You can use non-reserved seating with this pass alone. Please note, however, that some trains do not have non-reserved seating
  • When reserved seating is required, please go to a Ticket Office (Midori-no-madoguchi) or a Travel Service Center at a JR East station before boarding and present this pass to obtain a (free) reserved-seat ticket. This pass itself cannot guarantee the availability of reserved seating
  • A separate fee is required for travel outside the designated unreserved seating zone
  • The Hayabusa, Komachi, and GranClass are not available. For usage, payment of limited express charges and GranClass charges is required
  • On the Fujikyu Railway, separate tickets are required for the number 1 car of the Fujisan Express and the Fujisan View Express, and to ride the Fuji Tozan Densha
  • Lost passes will not be reissued

  • Travel Recommends and the appointed operator will not be responsible for any accidents, loss of property or damaged caused by individual negligence
  • The e-ticket/e-voucher cannot be exchanged for cash or used on more than one occasion
  • Any alteration(s) on the e-ticket/e-voucher will not be accepted by Travel Recommends and the appointed merchant
  • In the event of unforeseen circumstances that affects tour departure or ticket/voucher invalidity, customers will be notified and be advised accordingly
  • Travel Recommends reserves the right to adjust the prices based on current exchange rates without prior notice. 
     

Cancellation Policy:

  • No refunds will be entertained for cancellations
  • There will be no refunds even if included items are not utilised by the visitor
  • In the event of late comers/no show, it would be considered as cancellation and no refund will be given
