Overview

The Christchurch Gondola gently lifts you a kilometre to the top of Port Hills, 500 metres above sea level. A worthwhile attraction to experience the myriad panoramic views of the Christchurch city, the dramatic views of the Southern Alps and Canterbury Plains. Atop the summit, fuel your hunger at the Red Rock cafe and get on the Time Tunnel Experience - a six-minutes long exhibition that glimpse into Christchurch’s history from early settlement to the present time.

Extend the sightseeing trip with an option to ride on the beautifully restored heritage trams around Christchurch’s city centre. Be informed about the landmarks and local spots with the friendly and knowledgeable drivers. Board at any of the 17 tram stops with unlimited rides in one day.

A 15-minute drive from Christchurch city centre, a Gondola Shuttle departs every 30 minutes from Canterbury Museum,Rolleston Avenue.

 

 

Christchurch Tram:

7 Tramway Ln, Christchurch Central, Christchurch 8011, New Zealand

The Gondola Shuttle returns to Christchurch city centre on the start of the hour.
